A Year of Joy ~ The Card Concept

Hello everyone! Today starts a new challenge over at The Card Concept challenge blog based on the picture below...

I took the inspiration photo quite literally to create my clean and layered card.  I have these sweet little kraft envelopes that I hadn't used in eons so it was great to pull them out and create a sweet birthday card.  I hope you'll head over to The Card Concept blog to see all the different interpretations from the Design Team then join in the fun!  Have a great day!

I'll Go Laughing ~ Curtain Call Inspiration

Hello everyone! It's time for a new challenge over on the  Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge.  This time we’re inspired by this photo…

Ah, my literary heart sure does love this stack of books...it reminds me of the one starting on my night table, waiting for Christmas Break :)  I made a bookmark using a quote from Moby Dick that can be removed and used! Head over to the Curtain Call blog for more inspiration and then join in the fun! Thanks for stopping by!

Let Every Heart ~ Viva La Verve

Happy Friday and happy December, friends!  Report cards are done so it's time to get in the Christmas spirit and start planning for the 25th!  Julee is inspiring us with some adorable new digis and this fabulous Viva La Verve sketch.  I cannot get enough of this poinsettia!  I coloured it with ink smooshed on an acrylic block and a slightly wet paint brush.  Want to play along?  Head over to the Viva La Verve Blog and join the fun!  Have a great weekend!

Celebrating Your Birthday ~ PTI Blog Hop

Hello friends!  It's been quiet around the blog as I finish up report cards and get back into the studio!  Of course, I had to take time to play along with the PTI Blog Hop...I just can't stop staring at this inspiration photo!  The problem with such a gorgeous image is that there is always TOO much inspiration.  I had 2 different cards on the go, but they just weren't coming together so I put my favourite elements together and came up with this one.  Always happy to sneak in some (Canadian) maple leaves :)

Thanks for stopping by!  I can't wait to see all your creations!

Happiest Birthday Wishes ~ Curtain Call Inspiration

Hello everyone! It's time for a new challenge over on the  Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge.  This time we’re inspired by this photo…

It seems I've been going back and forth between Christmas and Fall cards lately...kind of like the weather we've had here in BC...cold, warm, SNOW, melting snow, falling leaves....repeat! HA!  Acorns are so cool and sweet...I chose this darling acorn paper to make my son's birthday card.  The woodsy vibe and simple layout lend themselves well to a masculine card. Head over to the Curtain Call blog for more inspiration and then join in the fun! Thanks for stopping by!

Peace and Joy ~ PTI Create Along with Us

Hey friends!  I'm enjoying our long weekend with some inky time in the studio.  It's PTI release week so we get to CASE a project that's inspired us for the Create Along with Us challenge.  There were so many I loved, but decided to create a card inspired by Melissa's gorgeous masterpiece...

Ptisnowfallstyle1

...don't be surprised if this snowflake set winds up in my shopping cart on the 15th! HA!  I used the sets and dies I had already.  Thanks for stopping by!
